Addis Ababa is a green oasis in Africa that oozes history and culture. A lush green belt and semi-subsistence farming surround it today, whispering tales of its past.

A quick encounter to the history and culture of Ethiopia is best portrayed at the National Museum. It houses some of the most important and fascinating artifacts from the country’s rich past, including the famous Lucy, a 3.2 million year old human ancestor who is considered to be one of the earliest hominids ever discovered. You can also see other remarkable fossils, such as Ardi, a 4.4 million year old female specimen of Ardipithecus ramidus, another ancient human relative.
