The Sanetti Plateau is a vast Afroalpine plateau in the Bale Mountains of southeastern Ethiopia, located within Bale Mountains National Park. Averaging over 4,000 meters in elevation, it is the largest continuous area of its altitude on the African continent . The plateau features volcanic cones including Mount Tullu Dimtu (4,377 meters), Ethiopia's second-highest peak, and numerous glacial lakes . The landscape is characterized by Afroalpine grasslands, giant lobelia, and heather, providing critical habitat for the endangered Ethiopian wolf . The southern edge forms the Harenna escarpment, descending sharply into the Harenna Forest .
