Getting Here - Ethiopia
Arrival and Transportation
Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa serves as the gateway for all international flights into Ethiopia. We will arrange to pick you up at the airport and manage your onward travel.
Domestic Travel: Given Ethiopia's vast expanse, domestic flights are the favored method for getting around, connecting major historical cities and attractions. These services are operated by Ethiopian Airlines from Bole International Airport. Alternatively, driving offers a scenic way to experience Ethiopia's breathtaking landscapes.
Visa and Entry Requirements
Passport Validity: All foreign visitors must possess a passport valid for at least six months with a blank visa page.
To facilitate your travel to Ethiopia, visas can be acquired in advance through the online visa application portal available on the official website of the Ethiopian Ministry of Immigration and National Affairs at www.evisa.gov.et. Alternatively, for travelers from certain countries, visas can be obtained upon arrival. We recommend checking the eligibility of your nationality on the official website of the Ethiopian Ministry of Immigration and National Affairs. Please note that tourist visas are available on arrival for citizens of African Union member states. Additionally, Kenyan and Djiboutian nationals are exempt from visa requirements, provided they present valid passports.
Yellow Fever Vaccination: If you're coming from or transiting through a country with yellow fever risk, proof of vaccination is mandatory for travelers aged 9 months and above.
Note: Entry requirements can change, so please consult your nearest Ethiopian embassy for the latest information. Health and Safety
