Dungur (Dungur 'Addi Kilte) is an archaeological site in western Aksum, Ethiopia, across the road from the Gudit stelae field . The ruins consist of a substantial mansion complex covering about 3,250 square meters, excavated by Francis Anfray in the 1960s . The structure features a double staircase entrance, multiple courtyards, and walls that taper with height, constructed with small undressed stones . While local tradition names it the Palace of the Queen of Sheba, archaeological evidence dates it to the Aksumite period between the 4th and 7th centuries AD . A 2008 German excavation suggested possible older layers beneath the visible ruins
